About Us The Lifeplan Institute was founded in September of 2008 by the California Mentor Foundation, and is a not-for-profit organization. We are privately funded and receive no government grant money in pursuing our vision and mission. Our co founders are Andy Mecca, John Hoskins, and Doug Pratt. |
Building off that work, the Lifeplan Institute developed a one-of-a-kind training program for mentees (children age 11-19), My Lifeplan: A Journey of Choices, Decisions, and Consequences. The program takes the concepts from Andy’s book (the what) and brings them to life for mentees by creating a visceral in-depth understanding of the times ahead and the action plan (the how) that will guide them on their journey through life. My Lifeplan helps mentees maneuver through their tweens, teens, and on through young adulthood. In a nutshell, participants discover for themselves how to navigate the path of life, avoid the common pitfalls, and become successful thriving adults. The Lifeplan institute is the outgrowth of generous sponsorship by the California Mentor Foundation and the Evelyn Freed Mentor Center. |
